Tāranga - Romidrian

Hand-tufted round rug

Manufacturing time: 8 to 10 weeks

The Tāranga rug takes its name from the Sanskrit word tāranga , which means waves, ripples, fluid movements . This name is a natural fit: its pattern evokes a landscape of organic curves, similar to the flows traced by water, the furrows of the wind, or the topographic lines of the earth.
Tāranga embodies a soft and vibrant energy, a continuous movement that soothes the space while subtly rhythmically structuring it.

Conceived with an organic, minimalist, and topographical approach, Tāranga is distinguished by delicate, hand-sculpted, tone-on-tone lines. Their irregular patterns evoke Japanese Zen gardens, the contour lines of a map, or strata sculpted by time. This visual language, both contemporary and natural, transforms the rug into a living, almost meditative surface.

Its warm cream palette allows it to be integrated harmoniously into a wide variety of interiors: Japandi, modern contemporary, wabi-sabi, bright Scandinavian or premium professional space.
Tāranga brings a sense of calm and balance. It softens furniture, warms up minimalist spaces, and becomes a visually soothing anchor.

Hand-tufted in Uttar Pradesh, India — a region renowned for the excellence of its textile craftsmanship — this rug combines natural wool and viscose , two noble materials that offer density, brightness and a very refined feel.
The sculpted lines reinforce its organic identity, giving the impression that the pattern unfolds like a breath or a silent undulation.

Romidrian, a handcrafted signature

At Romidrian, we value natural materials, precise gestures, and the poetry of forms.
Tāranga is the perfect expression of this: a piece inspired by the movements of nature, shaped according to traditional techniques where each curve reveals the hand of the craftsman.
