The Volterra floor lamp takes its name from the Italian town of Volterra, in Tuscany, a historic centre of alabaster craftsmanship since Antiquity. As early as the Etruscan period, Volterra established itself as one of the major centres of alabaster art in Europe. By choosing this name, Romidrian pays tribute to this millennia-old tradition, where light and material engage in an intimate dialogue. Although the alabaster used comes from Spain, its spirit, formal language and sculptural dimension are deeply rooted in the Italian heritage of Volterra: a meeting point between architecture, craftsmanship and light, conceived as both an art object and a functional luminaire.

Hand-cut and hand-assembled alabaster segments are arranged around a central structure, forming an elegant octagonal silhouette. Once illuminated, the floor lamp diffuses a soft, warm light, creating a soothing and refined atmosphere.
