Derived from the Latin word marmora, the plural of marmor, meaning “marble”, the name of this creation evokes the timeless nobility of stone and the richness of its natural veining.

Marmora Black transforms the surface of the rug into an abstract mineral landscape. Against a deep black background, irregular lines in shades of ivory, cream and sand unfold like luminous veins running through dark stone. Its free-flowing, organic design recalls both the natural veining of marble and the fragmented contours of a contemporary map.

Variations in pile height and texture accentuate each line, giving the rug a subtle depth that can be appreciated both visually and through touch. Silk gently captures the light and highlights selected areas of the pattern, creating shifting reflections depending on the lighting and viewing angle.
