In Japanese, nami means “wave”. The name evokes the perpetual movement of water, its gentle ripples and the shifting reflections that travel across its surface.

Through a succession of irregular horizontal lines, Nami creates an abstract landscape inspired by the sea. Shades of deep blue, mineral grey, ivory and beige overlap like waves observed from a distance, between shadow, sea foam and light.

Its dense, fragmented pattern creates a sense of continuous movement. Some lines appear and then fade into the material, recalling the changing surface of water as it moves with the wind. The composition therefore reveals a different character depending on the light, the rug’s orientation and the viewing angle.

Variations in height and texture enhance the depth of the design. The lighter areas gently catch the light, while the midnight blue and anthracite grey tones structure the composition and give it a distinctive graphic presence.

Both expressive and soothing, Nami brings movement to a space without overwhelming it. Its mineral palette blends naturally into a contemporary living room, bedroom, dining room, office or professional interior.
